When I think of books
When I think of pencils
When looks are everything
When clubs begin
And friendships fail
Where the populars always prevail
I always say to myself,
“Where do I belong?”
In this mystery world,
We never know how long
We must travel to reach our destination
How strong,
How agile,
How smart
We must be to conquer the tasks we face
We could fall and not get up,
Or persevere and accomplish victory
I never know if I’ve gone too far
Because I always get caught up
With myself
It’s impossible to truly know the person we are
So we must say this together:
“Everybody needs a friend,
No matter who they are,
Because friends help you along the way,
And they encourage you to try harder,
So we finish our task.
No matter what,
Everybody needs a friend”
