Its going to be about a teenage girl who's a bit of a loner, who ends up turning into a mermaid 
Here is a bit of an extract:
THE GIRL WITH THE RED TAIL
My name is Cara. I never wanted to be different. I kept my head down, I wore what everyone else did, I acted as cool as possible. I was never noticed. I still aren’t. Now, it’s a good thing that I’m not. I struggled to fit in, and now I don’t want to ‘fit in.’ Some of us aren’t puzzles, we all don’t just fit. That’s the way I intend it to stay, now that summer is over and my life has changed forever…
I’ll start on the last day of school, where everybody including my high school teachers eagerly awaits the arrival of the last bell before the summer holidays. My last lesson for the day is maths, my least favourite subject. Unlike the rest of my subjects we actually have to do work on the last day.
Please don't answer with stuff about what i chose to write about, i think thats my choice. But anything else that could improve my writing would be appreciated! Thanks
