My grandfather used to tell us kids this poem and before he passed I never learned where it came from. I tried looking it up and found several variations of it but no one knew for sure where it came from.....
On the preview for the movie "The Haunting in Connecticut" they softly whisper pieces of the poem....It brought tears to my eyes just hearing someone else say it so any ideas would be great appreciated.
: One day,
: In the middle of the night,
: Two dead boys,
: Rose up to fight.
: Back-to-back,
: they faced each other,
: Drew their swords,
: and shot each other
: The deaf policeman,
: heard the noise,
: and came and killed those
: two dead boys.
