Do you know how to transfer pictures from the Samsung Intensity to a PC?

I got my Samsung Intensity cell phone a few months ago and have yet to figure out how to transfer pictures or music. I do not have internet access on my phone. I have tried plugging it into the computer using the USB cable it came with but it tells me "the software cannot be found" or "insert software". Anyone know how to get pictures or music on/off?
