Do you know anywhere good for hiking in the UK?

Hi,
I live in Oxford and I really want to hiking on my own for two days in February...

Considering my location and the time of year I would like to go, where would you suggest is AFFORDABLE for a student and ideal?

Hiking on your own is not clever. Find a friend and come to the east coast of Scotland.
