Do you HAVE to take showers after gym in high school?

I'm currently in 7th grade and next year the current high school will be the upper middle school (8th and 9th grade) I was wondering if you HAD to take showers after gym. Perhaps its just me, but isn't that kind of like an invasion of privacy? I mean people don't strip down naked in front of just anyone (except for, of course, strippers).
 
im pretty sure they cant force you to. a lot of schools dont even use the gym showers anymore...at least they didnt when i was in high school 5 years ago.
