even signed a contract? I was going to join the Army but realized it is not for me. My ship date was Jan. 19th but I told my recruiter I am going a different route. Well, he told me i have to meet with a certain sgt. and sign papers to "release" me but I never signed a contract in the first place. Then he said I have to meet with a commander. Bullsh**. Am i right?
No, I did not sign a CONTRACT. The contract is signed the day before you ship and you oath in once more. Yes, I did sign papers but it was not the official contract, therefore i am not "theirs". I actually do not need an answer now bc I called my recruiter and complained. Ding Ding, guess what...I don't HAVE to sign it, they just encourage it because it is less paperwork for them. Lazy Recruiters. I just have to say, to the people who answered who are in the service, it is sad that you had really no clue about getting into your own job. Next time, don't guess. Otherwise it would be called ask. guess. discover.
