Do you have to pay for the NYT?

I would really like to audition for the National Youth Theatre (NYT) However I won't be able to if there are any fees for the classes. I heard that it was free because only the best get in. But when I went to their site they said when you were booking an audition to have a credit or debit card ready. My parents don't mind if it's a small fee for the audition which is what people are saying but they can't pay for fees for like a term, big fees each year. Do you know whether they charge?
