do you have to get loan from the company where you had pre approved loan letter?

I am trying to let a pre approval letter for the a loan but i am not sure if the company i have to get a letter of pre approval from is good with the loan because i have other companies in mind.
So the question is that:
do you have to get loan from the company where you had preapproved loan letter done?
