Do you have to be 14 years old to do the 6D knowledge test (scooter under 50cc)?

I am 13 yrs old, turning 14 in may of 2010, and I want to ride my Yamaha BWS Sport 2006. I want to ride it for my end-of-year exams and I was just wondering if I could do the test before and only start riding it when I am 14. Please add as many sources as possible!
