Someone you may really like or even love that will get you on the phone and then THEY go into an altered state of consciousness of yakking frenzy...don't let you get a word in edgewise and scream until your ear hurts? My Mother does this and it makes me a nervous wreck! In person she is fine but I hate to call her and many times won't answer the phone when I see it's her. I have tried calling her more often (we live about 150 miles apart) thinking she wouldn't get so over-excited and go into a talking frenzy but she still does it. My Dad can't ever answer the phone quick enough either and I would like to talk to him too!
Who has any suggestions, as I love my Mother and Dad very much and want to stay in touch with them often but I hate to have to take a Valium while she yaks into the phone...she won't even notice if you lay the phone down and walk off for 10 minutes...when you pick it back up, she hasn't missed a beat...sigh...
All ideas are welcome except don't be mean, I love my Mom...
