...Imam make all the rules? Like do they have a 'President', 'Deputy President' and so on... and annual elections to select a new president... Is this permissable and was it ever practiced?
In this situation, most decisions [related to events and protocols practiced in the mosque] are made through board meetings by ordinary people... do you think such rulings should be made only by learned scholars or inconjuction with them?
I don't know if this happens where you live, but what do you think?
