Do you have any camera/photography tips for me?

Nearly every picture I take with my camera comes out slightly blurry. It takes me 3-4 tries to get a non-blurry picture. I'm still new to taking pictures. Pictures of people tend to turn out better than pictures of inanimate objects or scenery. I have a Canon Powershot SD750 camera. I will NOT be replacing the camera.

What can I do (besides replacing the camera) to improve the quality of the pictures I take?
