My sister is still best friends with a girl named Sandy, whom she's known since they were schoolmates and neighbors way back in the early 60's .
Myself, I'm not so lucky . Though I haven't lost track of my closest friends from that same era, I no longer have contact with them, nor them with me . Guess you could say we kind of just drifted apart after we graduated high school . I suppose I could contact one or two of them, but even if I did, I doubt I'd even know what to say to them, anymore . After all, people and their circumstances can change tremendously with the passage of time, and I suspect that's the scenario I'd find if I were to run into one of them today .
So, what about you ? Have you mamaged to retain a friendship that's lasted 40, 50 or 60 years or more ?
Thank you .
