do you get military basic allowance and the basic housing ?

if you have dependents do you get paid both the basic allowance and like a once a month basic housing?
or do you just get basic housing allowance as your paycheck on the 1st and 15th?
 
They are the same thing. BAH is Basic Allowance for Housing. There is also a subsistance allowance, and additional ones for dependents.
