Problems your having to point out:
1. talk to my mother about not believing in any kind of 'God'
2. Christians are always like talk to Jesus he'll help you through this, and when I tried to pray, I didn't get any miracle
3. we don't go to church, we don't pray, nothing.
4. And I doubt, Jesus is sittin' up on cloud 9 watching over me.
Im not here to point the finger at you or point your flaws but look at what your saying:
1. You lack faith in God.
2. You lack knowledge of Gods word, expecting a miracle off something you dont beleive in. You cant go any further unless you know God and his needs and wants. Knowing god having the fear of him is the beginning of wisdom.
3. You dont need to go to church to have a relationship with christ he should be in your mind anywhere you go as well as accessable in prayer, you have that access to God through the death of Christ Jesus dying for our sins. back in the old testament they had to sacrifice animals just to speak to God, Rejoice because you can pray to the lord and speak to him anytime you like with FAITH. If you lack faith ask God to give it to you.
4. Doubt is the biggest problem people have today and it often brings discouragement, lack of faith, and basically builds a wall between you and God to go anyfurther in your journey with him.
Theres so many things i can say but it would take way to long and too much information would just cram up your head and get you confused. First off let me give you some verses:
Philippians 4:6–7
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 6:6
6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
2 Timothy 2:13
13 if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself.
Romans 3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
John 6:35
35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
Our spirits thrist and hunger for Gods word before we are saved our spirits like all sayings are "anorexic." Before we are saved our spirits are dehydrated like a withered leaf. Gods word in the bible like it says is living and active:
Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart".
When we feed our soul with the word of God our soul literally eats it up feeding on it. Thats why the bible is sometimes called our bread and milk because its nurtures our soul and helps the soul grow in Gods word.
We know this by what jesus said in the desert when satan tryed to tempt him with food because jesus went without food and water for 40 days and nights jesus said "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word the proceedeth out of the mouth of God." We must starve our bodies but read the word of God and feed our soul.
Pray to God like you never prayed before tell him all your thoughts and sorrows and ask him for insight, faith, strenght, wisdom, knowledge, and repent. God is a merciful God and will forgive you your sins not matter how great they are. God wants you to be his friend not an enemy he wants you to admit your faults and sins to submit to him. Ask him for guidence because we all must seek Gods purpose for us not what we want but what God wants for us and seek his needs and dont be selfish and please yourself before God.
Proverbs 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Colossiuns 1:21-23 "Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because ofa your evil behavior. 22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— 23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant".
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that a
