DO YOu Find It Strange that A Crowd of People Will not help in A bad event or an attack?

There have been some cases known in where a girl was raped in front
of crowd of classmates-no one did anything. Another thing like this
happened, I heard that a girl was raped in front of a crowd of neighbors but they
all stood watching. Another incident happened- a good Samaritan/person tried to
help a woman, the woman accidentally stabbed him and he was slowly dying
as people walked by and did nothing. One man took a picture of him without
calling the ambulance, and by the time the ambulance got to him he had already
died (Heard this on the news.)

What is your opinion on this? And what would you have done if you saw any of this
happening. I myself would have helped out as much as I could.

Called the police, I have had experience where I tried to help a girl that was getting beat up at a club by her boyfriend, so did the bouncers and guess what the girl ended up screaming at us, to let her boyfriend go with her busted nose bloody lips, in the end the paramedics told us she had a broken nose and jaw. To top it off the bouncers and I had to show up to court because we were the ones that assaulted her boyfriend according to her testimony, after many witnesses, video surveillance, even the paramedics who responded and the police officers that day, the charges were dropped and, from that time on I decided to only call the police and not get involved unless is someone I knew. Sounds heartless but I just think about what if there where no other witnesses or video surveillance that day, I would probably be in jail for helping someone who I though needed help. So I don't blame people for not getting involved but they can call the police instead of standing around.
