Do you feel that your vote counts for anything in the UK?

In the current electoral system, I can't help feeling that my vote is slightly pointless. Unless you live in a marginal seat, it's inevitable that one party or another will win your seat, and as such your vote doesn't make any difference. It's frustrating because I take a keen interest in politics, and yet I don't feel as though I can make a difference. I'd feel much better if votes were tallied up on a national level, so that the party with the most votes wins, but I know that wouldn't work in practical terms.

Anybody else feel the same way?
