do you ever notice that very often in discussing something people tend to talk...

...fast & gloss over details? it seems to me that they do this so as not to appear "slow" and to avoid verbal pauses... whenever i'm discussing something with someone i try to be very detailed in my speech so people know exactly what I'm getting at. and because of this (and the way I'm wired) i tend to exhibit many verbal pauses. and in noticing other's reactions to my demeanor it seems that they think of me as being "slow"... can anyone here relate to this?
