Fighting Americans in the Splinter Cell games does not necessarily happen. There is one part where you supposedly meet up with them on the Oil Rig and you need to follow them without being spotted. As for the rest, I couldn't really care or not.
Why does it matter if you fight those of your own kind? They all can speak English anyway.
