Do you ever feel that the anti-whaling argument is emotional and hypcritical ?

Basically, the more blogs I read the more arguments I see about "not killing whales because they are beautiful."

What makes a whale more important and more beautiful than a cow ? Do you think a whale is more important to a cow for an Indian ?

Life is not always pretty. Much of the foods we eat go through a killing process just as bloody as a whale's.

Considering how, just about every country in the world used to Hunt whales for just about every reason EXCEPT food .... I think it is wrong, that because we all have contributed to their extinction, for us now to all jump on Japan's back and demand they stop consuming whales.

If whales are endangered then, hunting should be regulated.
I bet nobody read the part where I said : it should be REGULATED.

There we go again, with the emotional response.

If a species hunted for years is dwindling, we regulate the hunting.

As for the ecosystem argument. Are you suggesting that cows, horse, chickens, pigs, sheep and goat, are NOT part of the ecosystem.

I say to each his own, once regulated.
