Do you blame the unintelligent people for their lack of intelligence?

If people do not comprehend various things that you do, are you more prone to blame them for their lack of intelligence? Do you set yourself as the unit of measurement to gage other people's worth?

It is the fool who thinks he is a wise man and the wise man who knows he is but a fool. Sorry, can't remember who said it (I think it was Socrates), but I think we are all unintelligent in different ways or at least have different areas in which we are unintelligent. It's 3 in the morning here, so I'm entitled not to make sense even if I know what I mean.
