In New Zealand, same-sex marriage is not legal. Civil Unions are and they provide virtually all of the same rights and responsibilities that marriage does, only, there are some restrictions. One of the major restrictions is that same-sex couples are not allowed to adopt.
I believe that Civil Unions in New Zealand create unnecessary inequality.
What do you think?
Jordan W,
Although everybody is entitled to their own opinion, I feel like your opinion was articulated in the wrong words...
Homosexual and bisexual individuals contribute to American society just as much as heterosexuals. So you should at least try to be slightly less irrational in your hatred and discrimination.
Oh, and legalising same-sex marriage won'e mess up a country. Not New Zealand, not America, not any country at all.
This current existence of inequality is much more detrimental.
Thanks Chris.
You're right. There's no reason why same-sex couples should not be allowed to provide homes to children that would otherwise suffer.
