Lately, I have come across many questions that claim education is not needed, that degrees are "just pieces of paper that mean nothing" or getting an education is "Liberal Indoctrination". I have also seen people say you don't need an education, if you want, you can teach yourself in a library....is that all that we need during an interview for a career? If we tell a prospective employer we "Don't need the degree they require because we went to the library." will we get hired?
I was always told to stay in school as a child, now many people are telling children that they are only being brainwashed in school, ignorance seems more accepted...almost embraced...what exactly is the alternative?
For sure there are some that are lucky, but obviously that cannot be the case for everyone.
