Why or why not?
Those who think inter-galactic travel is impractical-how do u know another race haven't mastered it?? Worm holes could exist too!!
JIM D: ancient times to now is MINISCULE in cosmological terms, since you know how difficult space travel is, then what makes them visit us twice in such a short space of time?? Even for a different race to visit us now, it's tiny since not much time has passed between then and now.
TOM A: I think you're missing my point and Jim D's point. Jim's point is that chances of alien visitation in ancient times can be somehow deduced from the fact that they haven't visited now. Which is fair enough and I'm not one to push alien visitation at all..just curious (plus I do adore Fermi's paradox)....BUT my point is that our window of life is soo soo short that we can't look to now to describe what happened in the past. modern times is too short of a window to state that if they havent visited now, then it's not likely they haven't in the past cus of tech impracticalities.
