Do women ever approach men they are interested in or is it the man that has...

...to make the first move? Okay so I am here answering questions about relationships to what seem to be younger people yet i am struggling with my own question. Its so much easier to try and help the younger generation try and not make the same mistakes as you did as a teen. So anyways here is my situation. I am a 37 yr old guy and I have been single for about 11-12 yrs now. Ya I know pathetic huh? Anyways.... I am not the most attractive guy on earth but i am sure that I'm not the most unattractive either. I have always made the first move and approached a woman that I had interest in. In most cases it went well and shortly afterwards I had found myself in a relationship with her. None of wich have turned out in the long run for one reason or another. Mostly cause she didn't show the affection or attention to me that I showed to them. I just got tired of being with someone who didn't feel the same way as i did towards them so i decided to wait and let the woman approach me. That way I knew she was interested in what she seen, or atleast curious of who i was. Well it's been 11 yrs and I have never been approached by anyone. I have felt some interest from random women but none have ever appraoched me. Am I not approachable or do women just not approach men?
P.S. you can see my profile at plentyoffish.com under the name of oldsoul73 if you really need to see what I look like before answering my question. Any advice or insight to what I should do would be appreciated. Honesty is always welcome.
