Do UK bikes now have to have catalytic converters fitted.?

[I know more than you do]

I obviously mean motorcycle as the question is listed in that category.
For instance if you had an 05 bike and went for an MOT with the cat. removed would it fail or don't bikes have to pass an emissions test.
