Do UC's look more at the SAT reasoning/ACT or the SAT subject tests?

They look at composite scores for ACT test, so it's okay if you didn't do too well in some subjects. BOTH tests are important, however if you do better on one than the other, it gives you more chances to get in, especially if they are higher. I'd say the SAT matters more than the ACT.

Which one matters more to colleges? I'm planning on applying to University of California schools within a month and I did decent on the ACT (23) but I was wondering if that matters as much as doing good on the SAT subject tests? I was also wondering if the universities look at indidvidual subject ACT scores (I did really good on math and english, just not too well in reading and science which brought my composite score down.)

Thanks :]
I am talking about SAT/ACT vs SAT subject tests, not SAT vs. ACT.
