ok me and 3 other friend of mine ate at a restaurant in powell st. san francisco called bankok its a thai restaurant. as we were heading out i got stopped by a thai lady while my 3 other friends waited for me outside... she said that ''is there something wrong???'' i said ''what do u mean???'' and then she showed me a calculator rudely and said you'd have to atleast give 7$ of tip to them because our food cost 47$ and we gave 4$....and i said thats all the money we have but she were really determine to embarassed me in public and said "next time just take it to go or just dont go here at all" out loud... i snaped and said something really rude back.....
is it normal for a waitress to approach me in this way?
was she right or we were just being cheap?
