every kid they want to save? these sadistic idiots just want to force a mother to have a kid and then leave her to bring it up. if they want to ban an abortion they should be made to pay for the kid's upkeep until they are an adult.

lol. you're f*****g ridiculous. responsibility lay with the parents of the child always. Anti-abortion activists merely try to prevent parents from committing crimes against humanity.

They should at least be willing to pitch in. It's weird how they're usually the same people who are totally against anyone recieving government assistance, even though most of those who get it are actually unwanted children living in foster care.

Or how about the mothers take responsibility and not get knocked up in the first place?

you know, if girls would just learn how to keep their knees together or get on birth control, there would be no fukcin need for abortion.
maybe we should just eliminate all the sluts in this world, then there wouldnt be so many unwanted children.
if they dont want kids, then they shouldnt have fukced buddy the bartender.
abortion IS murder, last time i checked, if something has a heart beat, its a growing living thing.
ignorant ass people like you shouldnt never have babies.

P.S. your calling people who try to STOP abortion 'sadistic idiots"? hm....my opinion of a sadistic idiot is someone who would kill their baby just because they feel its their right to do so.

To cool in the desert: How about if the FATHERS take responsibililty and not knock up their girlfriends? Are we feeling a little sexist this morning?

Anti-abortionists do take responsibility for the children they save. We all do. It's called taxes, and it goes to government programs that ensure (or it's supposed to ensure, anyway) that all children have food, shelter, clothing and educations.

It's so satisfying, isn't it, to see the programs as benefitting the mothers, whom we like to condemn for their loose morals? But we can't punish the mothers without punishing the children who had no say in the circumstances of their births.

But I sense you want to annoy the pro-lifers out there. So how about this? Planned abortions are just a tiny fraction of all the abortions that take place. Far more fetuses are aborted involuntarily--we just don't see it that way because we call them miscarriages or still births. Far more good can be done for far more babies if the pro-lifers would pour their money and energy into finding ways to prevent miscarriages.

OMG, I have thought about this a lot lately!
Yes, it does seem as if they fight for the rights of the unborn just to abandon the life when it comes.
Many, that is, not all.
But no one should be made to pay for a child's upkeep except their parents/guardians.
I thank you for voicing this observation out loud!

I completely agree with you.
China has a 1 child law, Asia is overpopulated in general and is POOR.
Africa is overpopulated and is poor.

There are many other reasons why these continents are in this financial situation, like exploitation and etc., but overpopulation is a huge factor nowadays.

Abortion is a woman's right as a person of choosing what to do with her OWN body and life, instead of the "potential" life of a kid, that would probably hate her, since she will most likely put it for adoption.

Well, I do think women should make more of an effort to prevent unwanted pregnancies, first and foremost. However, yes, I agree with you. What really drives me nuts though, is when these people say there are tons of parents waiting to adopt a baby, have sympathy and give someone else a child. That just burns me up. There is a waiting list for healthy white babies, sure. But the crack babies and minorites go into foster care. Does anyone honestly think most of the people getting these abortions are going to take care of their body while preg? And if there are so many parents waiting to adopt a child, why are the foster systems in our country massivly overloaded?

I dont like abortion, but I am pro choice and will remain pro choice. These reasons arent why I am pro choice, but what I have said is how I feel. It seems like a lot of pro life people dont understand that many of these women would try to self abort if not given a safe way to do it. It also seems that a lot of pro life people are also the ones who dont educated their children about sexual health and birth control options. They are also generally in support of tighter welfare regulations, and most of them dont foster or adopt out of the public system.

It seems like many (but not all) pro life people want to harp and harp against abortion, but offer no other alternative for what happens when the baby is born.
