watch the history channel instead of you tube. Really Booth killed lincoln, the assignation was plotted for a long time after Jefferson Davies heard Lincoln took off the hands off the president rule.

This question is evidence that the age of the Internet has made many Americans dumber than they would have ever been back when actual books had to be read to learn something.
I don't know of ANY respected historian in the entire United States that buys into the inane notion that John Wilkes Booth didn't shoot Lincoln. If he is NOT the guilty person please explain the following:
1. Why did the actors on stage performing "Our American Cousin" ALL identify the person that jumped from the presidential box as John Wilkes Booth and NO one else?
2. Why did Dr. Samuel Mudd later state he set the broken leg of his friend John Wilkes Booth and Booth never happened to mention to the Dr. how he broke his leg?
3. Why did Booth's diary kept for the twelve days he was on the run contain detailed information of the plot to murder Lincoln and his thoughts after the fact?
4. Why did Booth flee Washington D.C. if he was innocent? Flight is the #1 evidence of guilt. Just ask Lee Harvey Oswald after he assassinated President Kennedy, or just ask O.J. Simpson after he murdered Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown. When a suspect flees jurisdiction immediately after a crime is committed it is because they are guilty and avoiding arrest.
I swear, Americans are getting dumber and dumber as time progresses. It is appalling.
