wait for him to pass the river daily? My mother told me this story as a Little girl, she is no longer with us now so i cannot ask her. The story really left an impression on me and i have the statue of an old man with a grand fish that she would hold as she told the story. I would like to pass it on to my children, but i cannot remember the name of the story. It is a japanese or chinese folktale, where a man would pass by the same river everyday where a wise old fish would wait for him to visit. The fish would share with him the wisdoms and truths of life. I think the fish was a koi fish, i am not sure. It was so long ago she told me the story, does anyone know it?
