parents to discuss ? When does reading, writing, and arithmetic cross the line into social engineering and indoctrination ?

Well at my little sister's old Elementary school they showed the girls a video that taught them about their period and they had a video for guys about what happens to their body. The girls got pads dioderent and a panflit. Guys got dioderent and i think they got a panflit as well. 7th grader boys learn about girls and their period and girls learn about guys.
 
When they try to prove science against religion. I want to be able to tell my kids that we do not believe in science and not neccesarrily religion, but a supreme being myself.
 
Oh sure there are things that the public schools (maybe private as well )
try to teach our kids that I feel should be left up tho the parents like
#1. Religion
#2. sex
#3 Drug usage ( I really hate the DARE program it is only making things worse,let me explain how.
Let's say your child is in school and the DARE officer tells them about stuff like crack, meth, and Marijuana and how they are all dangerous.
One day your child is with his friends and someone has a bag of weed, they
all smoke it and realize it's not that bad.
Next thing you know your child is offered some crack then the kid thinks well Marijuana is not dangerous like the DARE officer said maybe crack is safe as well.......You now have a crackhead on your hands.
 
Yeah they do, but the fact is there are many parents who do not teach their children adequately. There should be opt out notices beforehand.
 
Prayers are still said at high school football games, that practice needs to be abolished.

Liberal thought is promoted with little conservative values being taught or even touched on, and 90 percent of my sons elementary school is made up of middle aged white women in SF Bay. It's like a school full of Hillary Clintons!
Either I deal with that crap or I have to pay out of my own pocket 150-300 dollars month for private school. What you gonna do though?

The 3 Rs belong in schools, but other subjects such as political indoctrination and religious indoctrination has no place in public schools.

Nope. My schooling never crossed the line. They stated facts without bias. Although I was already smart enough to differentiate reality from crapola. I would trust MY parents to teach me- others? not so much.
