Do they hire an american sign launage intrepter if you live on a military base?

If I ever needed an intrepter would I be able to have one? I am hard of hearing and I would be living on base with my husband when he gets to that point in the military.

While the military has a lot of programs to assist the military family......Hiring a sign language interpreter falls under your responsibility
As a dependent you can apply for medical assistance.....a hearing aid or corrective surgery.....but hiring a interpreter is a personal expense

unless you know of some future government genocide of deaf people then I can not foresee the military ever needing a sign launage interpreter

Considering that even a hospital has to provide an interpreter, I would think the gov't would as well. Even they have to abide by the disability act.
