...cancer is affecting his play? Akers admitted that it distracted him and caused him to miss 2 FGs in the playoffs. I understand that he cares about his family but the NFL is a business. If Akers isn't mentally tough enough to put his off the field issues to the side when he has to, should the Eagles get rid of him? It's clear that his daughter is going to have cancer for quite some time and probably won't survive. Not to sound cold but wouldn't it just be easier on the Akers family and the Eagles organization if she died sooner rather than later so everyone could move on from this and Akers can go back to making field goals?
