I don't find a Cadillac forum on Yahoo Answers so I am asking this question here. I am considering a 500cid Cadillac engine rebuild for a friend. The engine is going to come out of a 1970 Eldorado and he has asked me to rebuild it and his plan is to install it and a T-56 tranny in his 1932 Ford. My question is, do the Cadillac crankshafts have a machined hole for a pilot bushing? I am thinking they probably do not since those Cadillacs was never fitted with a manual transmission at the factory. Even if it doesn't though I don't suppose it would be much of a problem since I can probably have the machine shop drill a new crank for a pilot bushing when I get the machine work done on the block and heads but I am thinking about it and just thought I would ask because someone here might know.
