I read some where that the nut doesn't get to ripen to full size because our summers are to cold... If i buy a tree will I get nuts? even if they are little 1s.... will it be worth it? i only want the tree because my girlfriend likes the taste of the nut?... i know they do grow in england because my sister collects them from a place near her house. but she moved south with her husband and I moved north with my girlfriend, so i dont know if the nut will even be produced so much further north?....
do sweet chestnuts grow well in north England, UK?
