Well today in my victimology class I had an arguement with one of my classmate, which I find it hard to believe and disagree with him. He said that victims actually does nothing while she is getting molested/groped by a stranger. He said that this is because the girl is either too shy or doesn't want to make a scene. Which I argued that in such situation/scenario, every girl would try to stop the assault and try to report him/make a scene/yell for help. Was he right or wrong?
My classmate even said he actually saw a guy sexually touching a girl at the back of a bus, which the girl did try to push his hand away a few times.Apparently the girl was sitting on the window side, and the guy was sitting beside her. So the girl was trapped inside and couldn't get off. And at that time, because the girl wasn't saying anything, he thought they were a couple. So he didn't do anything. Which the guy continued doing it for 5-10 min before the guy got off the bus. And now that he reflected on what was happening, he think that the girl was an actual victim. <- I believe he made this story up. But I could be wrong, since there is alot of crazy people in this world. But could this story also be true?
