No! - Road bike shoes have three bolt holes!

See my answer to a previous question here, it may explain:

You can either find some cool looking MTB shoes or replace pedals, cleats and shoes for a three bolt road shoe system.
Or find a shoe with five bolt holes, suitable for both.

I hope this helps.

I just bought a road bike and it came with pedals and cleats. The cleats use 2 screws side by side to mount to shoes. I was told these would work with any "bike" shoes. So I bought some road biking shoes only to find out that the shoes have 3 screw holes speard out in triangle shape. If I try to attach cleats only 1 of the screws would fit.
So my questions are,
Are there road biking shoes with the 2 side by side screws, or is this only available in mountain bike shoes?
Will it work to just use the 1 screw in the middle screw hole, or would that mess up my pedal stroke?

my cleats look like ones here
