I have been told by a friend that restaurants take sauce that people leave on there plate [the kind they serve in the little plastic cups], and then they put it in a strainer and reserve it. I am part germaphob and now if I get shrimp somewhere, I am afraid to dip it in cocktail sauce even though I love that kind of sauce! **if you are near the Boston, MA area, check out my friend's new restaurant opening July 10th...the Oriental Pearl (220 Washington St, Brookline Village, MA 02445) sorry off topic** Anyway, is this sauce reusing thing true?????
