Election season is in full swing and positive and negative comments by both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are being scrutinized. It is hard to truly get to know all that a candidate stands for just by reading one or two newspaper articles. It takes time, dedication and research into what each candidate stands for on all the issues.
Choosing a leader for our country should come down to how much you agree with what that person stands for, not necessarily their party affiliation.
There is no use in complaining when you are not doing your part to help the situation change. Becoming knowledgeable on the issues and speaking your mind in the voting booth is the best way to get your voice heard.
Read as many articles as you can, find out how the candidates feel about the issues that are important to you, look at their track record and make a judgment call on who can actually get what they promise done.
In the end, you need to stand up for what you believe in. Being knowledgeable in the voting booth is an easy way to do just that.
