There seems to be a common belief that minorities (not just black people but asians, latinos, middle easterners etc) tend to punish their children more so with corporal punishment as opposed to white people. Now of course i'm not speaking of everyone, because we all know you can't generalize but a lot of people say that it is this way. By the way, i'm not agreeing or disagreeing with my question, it's just something I was thinking about.
What do you think?
& also do you believe in corporal punishment for disciplining children?
kowalchuk: your example was more so of an exception, I was talking more so of the average family that everyone in that family has at least some genetic tie to one of the parents. But I do agree that it's important to nurture every child so that they can grow up feeling confident.
