Do pop songs have real instruments?

I'm trying to find out if Taylor Swift's music has all real instruments or MIDI / synthesizers instruments. If so, which instruments are real and which aren't?

If you have info on Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Emma Bunton... anyone like that helps!
