Now that Gas is $2.80.

Ya' gotta' wonder how much Chrysler is saving on that offer, huh?
amorris- thanks. I was wondering how that was going to work.

I didn't really expect people to have to pay more than the actual price for gas.

They would still pay the current price.
I was thinking about the same thing the other day, as this offer was in lieu of the rebate being offered.

Oops! These people should have taken the rebate!

Chrysler issued a credit card to new car buyers. When used to refuel your vehicle, you would be charged $2.99 per gallon no matter how high the fuel cost. Since gas has fallen below $2.99, when you use that card, you are charged the current price, e.g. $2.80. The card was meant to be a guarantee that you would pay no more than $2.99 for the first 3 years of new car ownership. It seems that program is all but worthless now, unless you expect gas prices to increase again.
