Do people realize it's a joke?

A horse I was riding a few days ago spooked; I was hanging on sideways with my legs and recovered. People around made a big deal and I joking said "I do Kung Fu". I actually do a few martial arts, but I was joking; do people realize that or do they think I'm acting like I think I'm invincible or something?

That is hysterical, and if they don't realize a charmingly self-deprecating comment is a joke, then don't worry about it.
