Common sense tells me they loose, but I just wanted to check.. My uncle lost 20 lbs when he went in, but I just wanted to know if people gained weight too. I'm 6 ft and 155 lb, so basically if I loose any weight I will be a skeleton. Just kind of curious.
(I stay at a constant 150 ish, if I eat more then everything else just gets digested faster, Its been impossible to gain any weight)

Some gain weight
Some lose it

By what i have read ( i don't know if its true)

If your skinny and underweight the DI's will make you eat more good

Not everyone loses alot of weight , It depends on the diet they put you on and how much Physical Training you do.

If you're underweight, you'll gain. If you're overweight, you'll lose.

My son went in at 5'11" and 137 pounds. He ended phase I at 128 pounds... and was up to 153 at the time he graduated. He was a wall of solid muscle. (and made me punch him in the stomach, to prove it! *LOL*)

it's really iffy, skinny guys will bulk up, overweight guys will slim down but grow muscle mass so it could be wash,

Both. My grandfather grew 2 inches and gained 40 lbs when he joined the Army. He grew up in poverty. You will probably gain a little bit of weight if you get enough to eat.

Gain, even though you lose body fat you will gain more muscle mass and muscles are heavier than fat.

In Boot you will put your body through some of its most extreme measure it has yet to encounter! Your body will always differ from someone elses! No doubt you will come out in the best shape of your life, but you will have gained self control and muscle. You can never know until you have tried! Go for it!
