Do npcs sleep in Elder Scrolls:Morrowind?

I was just wondering, if I busted into someone's house with the intent to steal their belongings, would they just be standing there wide awake in the middle of the night? That would be pretty awkward.
 
Yes, I believe they do, im certain the do in oblivion, and i havent played morrowind for a year or so, but i remember them having realistic life styles.

save the game before and test it out, if it works save again, if not, then re-load
