I parked in a quiet residential neighborhood to gain entrance to a trailhead, and some biker with loud pipes set off my alarm when I was a quarter mile out (I could hear the cause/effect easily at that distance).
As a result, someone in the neighborhood left a terse note on my windshield that I found when I came back. The biker who set it off was long gone so they couldn't give him a hard time about it.
Do these gentlemen thugs take joy in annoying the public with their obnoxious (often illegal) exhausts, plus the added thrill of setting off alarms and adding even more disturbance?
Do they sometimes make an effort to veer right next to parked vehicles if the street is wide and they might not set off alarms if they stayed near the middle?
