Sometimes if I read or hear about something really sad or touching in the news, it'll make me cry! It's a bit embarrassing if I'm reading the paper on the bus, and sometimes it can put me in a sad mood all day!

Yes, all the time. I cried over Baby P, I cried when David Cameron's son died, I cried when Jamie Bulger died. Yes, it happens a lot, to be honest. There is an awful loot of tragedy in the world, but we must not forget the good things as well, I suppose.

Yes I admit it, before now a news story has made me cry.
I am either becoming hardened to it or desensitised; as the sad ones just make me angry, I seem to have skipped the tears & gone straight to utter fuming.
The news seems to be full of abuse, pain, injustice & inequality.
So I'm not surprised you end up crying, it shows you have humanity & do really care about others. so don't knock it.
There's plenty of unfeeling people, it's very refreshing to come across a human-being, for a change.
;-)

yes, it happens to me all the time. Some people have terrible things happen to them - it makes me even more angry when I read months later that criminals have been given really low sentences for things like murder and killing people whilst texting on their mobile phone.

I wake up every morning crying over Jade Goody.

Not the other thousands of cancer sufferers who are dying alone and without fanfare.

Just Jade Goody.

Call me a sucker for media propaganda.

Yes sometimes i cry esp when i read or hear about children being abused and so often killed by their mothers and boyfriends...that makes my blood boil. I also hate to see the suffering of 3rd world children...its so sad.

Yes - I cry over the slightest thing.

By the way, I'm a bigger liar than dave s ! ! !

The only news item that really makes me cry at the moment is hearing that Interest rates are going down - again. And knowing that the interest on my savings is going to zilch and any day now, my actual savings are going to disappear too.

I'm on a fixed income and rely on the interest from my savings to give me a half-reasonable standard of living!!!

THAT makes me weep buckets.
