Do net calories matter? Is 1400 net calories good?

Can you guys tell me if net calories really mean anything?

I'm 21 years old, 5'3" and weighs 135 pounds. I'm trying to get around 115 pounds, burning around 1/1.5 pounds a week.

So if my maintance level is 2150 calories, and I eat 1800 calories, and burn 500 calories, that's a 850 calorie deficit, and my net calories is 1400(calories left over after burning and cutting) That means there are 1400 calories left for my body to work with. Wouldn't that make sense better then eating something like 1300 calories, burning 500, with a deficit of 1350, and net calorie of only 800 calories? Wouldn't that be like starving myself?
Bill, sorry for confusing you. To be clear, I burn 500 calories a day with excercise (Walking 6 miles a day, 4/5 miles per hour), and deficit 350 out of my diet. So out of 2150 calories it takes to maintain my weight, I deficit 850 calories from that. The 2150 calorie thing is how many calories I would need to eat in order to maintain my current weight, which is 135 pounds.
Also, Bill, you're saying that my net calories should be around 300, rather then 1300? That seems like I'd be only eating 300 calories, don't you think? Because I'm deficiting 850 calories out of the 2150 it takes to maintain my weight, leaving 1400 calories left over. I would think my body would need those calories to make up for the calories I burn just living(sleeping, sitting, no activity), so that my body has no need to hold on to extra fat, because it gets it regularly from the 1400 net calories.
